How 2k Works
2k is community-powered — no spectators, only participants. Everyone pitches in on something, and that's what makes it special.
Pick a Way to Pitch In
Grab an ops role that fits you. A few of the ways people contribute:
- Stage sound & performance recording
- Video capture & projections
- Laser cube & FPV drone station
- Hot tub, pool, cold plunge & sauna
- Food, bar, shaved ice & coffee
- Games (Glowlympics)
- Toys & costumes
Bring What You've Got
A performance, a workshop, a great playlist, or an extra set of hands — it all counts. Contribute a set, lead a jam, run a station, or help with a meal.
We'll walk you through the role on site, so there's nothing to learn ahead of time — just tell us what you're up for.

Sister Fests
9kfest.com is 2k Fest's sister festival at 9,000 ft in Cuchara, Colorado each August. (zer)0K is the sea-level chapter — Hanalei, Kauaʻi, June 9–14, 2027. Same federation, three elevations.
9k has been running for 3 years and is the original inspiration for 2k Fest. Five days of music, jamming, DJ sets, campfires, and mountain adventures. Everyone jams. Everyone DJs. Everyone participates.
All three are part of the International Jam House Federation — a growing network of jam houses and their associated mini-festivals connecting musicians and creatives who believe in participatory, immersive experiences over passive entertainment.
